So to be a father, they say that its no longer about you. It is about your son and daughter. But I've found that truism hollow. Men without goals or passion default for their life's meaning to the base conceit of continuity in their bloodline. But my bloodline is old; it's recorded history filled with warriors, kings, petty rulers, farmers, and refugees. It is clear that we are at the ebb of our glory. We rise, generation by generation, back to the heights we onced ruled. I am one step back to that glory, I am the unwritten and unlauded generation that will grimly push us back to heights. The best of family will come back, and will be resplendent.
